WINE: 2012 brokenwood semillon 375ml ~ 12

STYLE: light bodied, 10.5%

TASTE: Plenty of pale green tints, lifted grassy citrus characters on the aromas. Excellent acid structure and importantly balanced with the fruit, long carry on the finish as well. Perfect in its youth as a wine that will bottle age gracefully for those that want a mature style.

THE LITTLE WINE ROOM PAIRING: Vietnamese-style pork bao buns with pickled cucumber and coriander.

STYLEmedium/full bodied, 12.8%

TASTE:A wine of great depth and purity, textural mid-palate with citrus fruits in the lime, lemon pith and grapefruit spectrum lead to a fine, balanced, mineral and savoury finish.

WINE: 2014 domaine la suffrene bandol rosé 375ml ~ 21

STYLE: medium bodied, 13.5%

TASTE: Mourvèdre (predominantly), Grenache (20%), Cinsault (15%) and Carignan (10%), a medium bodied dry rosé with freshness and subtlety.  A clear and shiny robe, slightly salmon-coloured. A delicate nose of candied citrus fruit, spices.  A full balanced mouth, fresh, underlined by a nice aromatic persistence and great finesse.

TASTE: Deep crimson, bright; a dark and sultry bouquet of black cherry, liqueur soaked plums, Asian spices and a gentle lick of toasty oak; the palate is fleshy, fresh and focused on entry, with a fine line of acidity and tightly wound tannins providing length to the generous depth of fruit on offer – 94 points (James Halliday)

STYLE: Medium Bodied 13%

TASTE: perfectly ripe raspberries and red currants, patchouli and subtle Middle Eastern spices. The palate is tightly wound, with raspberry-like acidity, more pronounced tannins in the background.
